Trek Tents Range of Cabin Tents
Trek make a great range of family size tents.
The initial Trek 14×10 Family Two Room Cabin Tent, Heavy Duty Frame I had posted is no longer available, however, I have put together here a few of my favorite alternatives. If you would prefer you can go straight to Amazon just click the link below.
There are quite a range of Trek tents from the very large 10x16ft to a ‘sixty second set-up dome 2-3 person tent. Below I am presenting a short review on a few of the different ones available, and if you want to have a look at the full range of Trek tents, then just click the link above to go directly to Amazon.
Some people really appreciate a genuine cotton Canvas tent, and this is a good one. The Khaki color is quite attractive and blends in well with the surrounding bush or woodlands. This tent officially sleeps 9, and is definitely a nice roomy family tent.
It’s an A-Frame style Cabin tent which means you get maximum height down the middle of 96″ and the sides of the tent are 48″ which is also more than ample room to move.
The floor is heavy-duty vinyl coated PVC which serves for long wear, and all the fabric is water-repellent, so would definitely recommend using a Rain Fly to be extra sure, plus I would probably look at coating it with a suitable water-proof coating. This is another large tent manufactured by Trek… it’s 16′ x 10’… so very roomy indeed. Sleeps 8 to 10 and this is one of my best picks. Being a 4 season tent, it is suitable for all types of weather, and has some great ventilation with 4 large inside zip windows with a ‘no-see-um scree for privacy. It’s divided into two rooms, so you can have a separate sleeping area if required.
Another nice feature is the front awning which provides some extra shelter as well as shade, and it comes with 2 doors, a front and rear entrance. The 100% cotton canvas has also been treated to make it ‘fire retarded.
This is definitely a great tent to check out if you are looking for a large family tent that breathes because it is canvas and has as many features as this Trek Four Season 10×16… Oh, and the full rain fly is included!
Perhaps you are after a much smaller tent…
If it’s not an extra large Trek tent you are looking for, then perhaps this quick-set-up 2-3 person Dome tent is more suitable for the type of camping trip you have planned. This is a nifty little tent, and would be perfect to keep in the boot of your car for any sort of unexpected stay overnight somewhere or just for a more light weight camping trip.
